It also supports Bitcoin, Zcash, Stellar, and QRL wallet addresses. Keybase supports publicly connecting Twitter, GitHub, Reddit, Hacker News, and Mastodon identities, including websites and domains under one's control, to encryption keys. Files placed in the public portion of the filesystem are served from a public endpoint, as well as locally from a filesystem mounted by the Keybase client. Additionally it offers an end-to-end encrypted chat and cloud storage system, called Keybase Chat and the Keybase Filesystem respectively. => ERROR: A failure occurred in build().Keybase is a key directory that maps social media identities to encryption keys (including, but not limited to PGP keys) in a publicly auditable manner. home/rican-linux/Build/aur/keybase-git/src/client/packaging/linux/build_binaries.sh: line 68: /usr/bin/yarn: Permission denied => Removing existing $pkgdir/ directory.īuilding version 1.0.22-20170516010454+1d50a4e5a prerelease in /home/rican-linux/Build/aur/keybase-git/src/build_dir > Creating working copy of kbfs git repo. + 6731ddfb1.e6441773e jzila/speed-up-macstadium -> origin/jzila/speed-up-macstadium (forced update) Remote: Total 9 (delta 6), reused 1 (delta 1)įrom /home/rican-linux/Build/aur/keybase-git/client Remote: Compressing objects: 100% (8/8), done. > Creating working copy of client git repo. + 6731ddfb1.e6441773e jzila/speed-up-macstadium -> jzila/speed-up-macstadium (forced update) Remote: Total 10 (delta 6), reused 9 (delta 6), pack-reused 0 Remote: Compressing objects: 100% (4/4), done.
#Keybase logo update#
I got this error when trying to update to the latest build.
#Keybase logo how to#
If you happened to know how to do that, that would be great too.
#Keybase logo download#
Ideally I'd like some way to not have to download a prebuilt electron as part of the build process when assembling the app.
#Keybase logo Patch#
Or if you happen to know a lot about electron/nodejs and are faced with an uncooperative package, you can patch it and file pull requests upstream to make it legitimately work. The standard guidelines for packaging is that they should be built with system libs *where possible*, if that turns out to be impossible then you settle for what you *can* do. That and the fact that more often than not things end up using the precompiled electron "just in case", without a firmly thought out policy of "new electron versions keep breaking our code, please don't use random system versions". Using the system electron isn't a hard rule, it's just one of those things where it is very much preferable, and as I said, it seems to work based on my usage. I know that the Arch maintainer for both electron and atom uses the system electron for atom, and while occasionally things do need to be patched to work okay with more recent versions of electron than upstream has tested, mostly it works. Mv opt/keybase/resources/app/ usr/share/keybase-appĪnd then modifies run_keybase to execute `electron /usr/share/keybase-app` instead of `/opt/keybase/Keybase`. But I can say that my forked PKGBUILD runs:

I, in turn, know very little about electron or node packaging.
